| Beginning April 1st, laid off workers will be able to receive free COBRA health insurance.
The American Rescue Plan Act, signed into law by President Biden earlier this month, covers COBRA premiums from April 1st to September 30, 2021 . This law also increases subsidies for health plans that are compliant with the Affordable Care Act. As a reminder, if you don't currently have health insurance, you can take advantage of a special enrollment period offered through Access Health CT until April 15th.
