Big I CT Congratulates Josh Hershman on Confirmation as Insurance Commissioner

Big I Connecticut today extended congratulations to Josh Hershman on his confirmation as state Insurance Commissioner. The Connecticut State Senate confirmed his nomination on April 8. He has served as acting commissioner since December 2025.

We wish to congratulate Commissioner Hershman on his elevation to the permanent role and wish him the best as he continues his duties. We look forward to working closely with him and the rest of the Connecticut Department of Insurance to create insurance markets that respond to the needs of all state residents and businesses.
